Graphics, User Interfaces A long time ago, we asked everyone to show their desktops, and we figured it would be nice, on this (for me) cold and dreary Monday to do that all over again, over two years later. The questions remain the same: cluttered or clean? Icons or no icons? Dual or single panel layout in GNOME? How free-form is your Plasma desktop? Are there any real computer users in here (as in, using CDE)? Read on for my own two desktops.

I have a lot of desktops, but this is one of the better LiveCDs I've found. VestaPup, based on Puppy Linux 3.01:

I've installed it on the hard drive and added a few games, but this is actually pretty close to vanilla.

And of course I have to add this. Yes, I actually still use it from time to time. I've opened up a few of my Launchpad trays ... see how many icons from the past you might recognize. :-)

You can tell from some of the icons on the desktop that this installation has been around for a while. I think I installed this one as a secondary installation back in 1997 sometime. :-)

I hated the Win95 shell, so I used another... This box is one of my play-around-with-old-software boxes. Whee!
