Windows As inevitable as the tides rolling in: every time a new Windows version is released, someone with too much time on his hands tries to install it on extremely outdated hardware. Sure, it won't be usable by any standard whatsoever, but it's still a fun thing to do. Of course, Windows 7 couldn't lag behind.

If you have old PC, you can convert it to thin client and run Windows 7 by using software such as ThinServer

I do it the other way around myself: I've got an old PC sitting in the closet, I've got NXserver running on Mandriva there, and I just connect to it and set it to download new Linux DVD ISO, compile something or whatnot whenever I need and use the main PC to do more pleasurable tasks in the meanwhile ;)
