This is a painful article to write. I've been a longtime fan and user of what is affectionately known as PC/GEOS over the years. However, I'm fearing we're nearing the end of GEOS.

The quotes were to emphasize MY interpretation of PC/GEOS as a "better DOS than DOS and a better Windows than Windows" and supported by at least a few reviewers of the day.
And for the record, at another Comdex around that time I won a free copy of OS/2 WARP. I spent some time with it too and while technically impressive, it was neither as intuitive and easy to use as PC/GEOS (though I appreciate the purity of the object oriented user interface though in my opinion it never really worked, and still doesn't work based on my time over the last couple of months with eComStation) and it definitely required considerably more horsepower.
It's a description that I've used for years to explain PC/GEOS and I think that both operating systems can make claim to the description. There's no copyright restrictions on an idea.

It's a simple matter of fact that specific phrase was a highly visible marketing line for OS/2 2.x upon release. It was, in fact, right on the packaging of some versions.
I don't personally care if you use it but when talking about historical operating systems it carries specific baggage to those in the know.
You'd have to talk to IBM on whether they have any rights to it. LOL

The Tizen Greek Community has some screenshots of a very recent build of Tizen running on a Samsung GT-i8800. It looks wholly unremarkable.

Joint statement to The Next Web from Microsoft and Google: "Microsoft and YouTube are working together to update the new YouTube for Windows Phone app to enable compliance with YouTube's API terms of service, including enabling ads, in the coming weeks. Microsoft will replace the existing YouTube app in Windows Phone Store with the previous version during this time." Good to know these children stopped acting like little pricks. Can we have full Google support in Windows 8 now, please?

Yahoo is acquiring Tumblr, the microblogging and social networking website, for $1.1 billion USD. Tumblr offers little revenue but lots of eyeballs if Yahoo can monetarize them. Now Yahoo is bidding for Hulu, the streaming video service. After years of ineffective responses while Google, Facebook, and others took large chunks of the online advertising market, Yahoo is fighting back. Can Yahoo reignite the momentum it had at the turn of the century? What do you think?

"Sony gave the PS4 50% more raw shader performance, plain and simple (768 SPs @ 800MHz vs. 1152 SPs & 800MHz). Unlike last generation, you don't need to be some sort of Jedi to extract the PS4's potential here. The Xbox One and PS4 architectures are quite similar, Sony just has more hardware under the hood. Yes, but the exact phrase is what I'm talking about. He put it in quotes as if he were quoting it verbatim from something related to GeoWorks.
..and to borrow that phrase from OS/2 seems questionable considering it was more literally true of that OS at the time.
