Hardware, Embedded Systems It's official: Dell doesn't have an exclusive deal with Intel, and has an open mind on using AMD processors in its products. So said company chairman Michael Dell last week when cornered by a Reuters reporter at the World Economic Forum event in Davos, Switzerland. "Sure," he said when asked if the company might offer Opteron and/or Athlon-based machines. "We do not have an exclusive relationship with Intel."

"When an executive or politician speaks, consider the logical inverse of the words. Often this lifts the fog."

Dell has an exclusive relationship with AMD?

Certainly cleared the issue for me.

More like "we could have an exclusive relationship with someone else". Perhaps 'logical' was a lousy choice in wording.

I'd think that the logically inverse of "We do not have an exclusive relationship with Intel" would be "We do have an exclusive relationship with Intel". Or are you saying that AMD is the opposite of Intel? (Which would be weird since they are in pretty much the same business ;-)
