OSNews reader Paul Cardwell writes: “Jarno van der Linden, one of the brilliant minds behind Amiga DE, has taken time to be interviewed by the GetBoinged! crew.” Update: You can also read a new interview (includes AmigaDE/SDK screenshots) of the CTO of Amiga, Fleecy Moss, at TempleOfTech.
A very nice interview, keep up the good work. 🙂
To understand the capabilities and potential of the AmigaDE/AmigaAnywhere technology, I recommend watching Bill McEwen’s TechTV demonstration:

Also note that the first Amiga Anywhere Entertainment package for PocketPC devices (StrongARM/MIPS) is now available at Amiga’s online shop:

Also it was recently announced that Sendo has licenced Amiga Anywhere software for this upcoming Multimedia Smartphone:

Yay! I got AmigaOS 3.9 running under WinUAE on my WinXP at 800x600x16bit, just this morning! It took me 2 hours to configure it and figure it out (thanks for your help Howard as I have never used an Amiga before, but it is finally there! It rules (even if it runs a bit slowly on my dual Celeron 533 Mhz)!
Slow? It runs fast under my PII233 . That is, im useing JIT emulation, but as far as i know, its enabled by default now in WinUAE?
I dont know what it would be slow on a 500Mhz PC! Sounds a bit weird!
> That is, im useing JIT emulation, but as far as i know, its enabled by default now in WinUAE?
No, the latest WinUAE does not have JIT enabled. It is broken in the Windows version.
You were of course right. I played with the Jit settings (the UI around it is bad, it was greyed out all the time), I gave it 4 MB of cache, and now Amiga flies!
An interview with Fleecy Moss (CTO of Amiga Inc) is now online at the Temple of Tech. It also includes some more AmigaDE/SDK screenshots. Check it out at:
