So many 90s memories…
I remember using talk at university in the early 90s on Sun machines.
I completely forgot about talk!
Talk in university was a menace. We were all on a single machine. You’d get random drunk messages from strangers if you were on late night checking your email.
I’ve used talk a Little at school many years ago on our Linux server, but not many people know how to talk back, SO it wasn’t usefull for me.
Yeah, typical first days using a shared Unix system in the 90’s.
– learn about write, talk and ANSI escape codes.

– add “mesg n” to .profile and get back to sanity
