Any news about ZFS? I would like to change my MacBook’s disk and install Leopard on it, but if it is going to have ZFS soon, I wouldn’t like to format again (I know I don’t have to, but I want ZFS).
They will not introduce a brand new file system with a minor point release. If they are going to introduce ZFS, it’s going to be during the next major upgrade.
You can already have read/write ZFS with the installation of the ZFS package from Macosforge.org.
This replaces the current restricted, read only implementation that’s default for Leopard installations.

I don’t think they’ll be releasing completely new functionality until they can fix their mistakes and finish the code planned for the initial release. They’re doing that little by little.
Considering how the QuickTime team just released large number of fixes, I have hope that Apple might have a clue again. They might finish quickly with 10.5.3 but I get the feeling that they’ll be up to 10.5.13 before they get most everything fixed…and start the cycle again with 10.6.
