Kim Woelders just announced the release of e16-1.0.9. As always with recent e16 releases, we’re looking at a number of bug fixes and minor changes, which keeps Enlightenment DR16 chugging along just fine.

Slow news day?
Don’t know, but I always wonder what about E17 ?
Do that instead, it will be something less to think about
while (true) {
printf(“What about E17?”);
}
(it’s an infinite loop for a project with an infinite dev cycle)
Same here!

you have been warned!
I saw the title of the post and thought “WTF?” E17 may end up being on par with the latest Duke Nukem release.
😉
You laugh about e17 not being “out yet” but it’s not exactly true. Forget version numbers.
I’m running e17 on Bodhi Linux, basically Ubuntu with very few default packages and e17 instead of Gnome or KDE. It is freaking awesome. Fast, gorgeous, sensible defaults, and none of the madness KDE, Gnome3, and Unity seem hellbent on imposing. It is my new favorite desktop.
Give Bodhi a try.
