The motion by Genesi in their case against Amiga Inc was granted in part, but denied in other ways. Specifically, Genesi is granted rights to AmigaDE (source code access is not specifically mentioned), but denies them access to AmigaOS. Read more to get to the actual file and description.
Why people are still clinging to this name in 2004!
I agree 100%, why would anyone be using a name as silly as foler in the 21st century !

Do you imply that the names companies use today aren’t silly? Even if you think so, let’s see what you think about it in 10 years from now
Amiga is a good name because a lot of people relate to it as one of the best systems ever. The name alone has an incredible marketing power. It’s not as strong as Atari but it’s close.
In other news two bald men were found fighting over a comb. 😉
HOW OFF TOPIC! And you tell at me about it. hehe. I think the Amiga Brand is strong but since Amiga sold off AmigaOS it sure will be hard to make any money off of it now

I think the investors feel that the only part of the old Amiga that has any value is the brand name and logos.
That is why they have split off the AmigaOS3 code holding into a new company. I doubt if they expect to get more than a few thousand dollars in license fees from it.
The brand name OTOH could be used for a range of new products. It has good recognition.
