I’ve been following Groupwise 7 for some time quite closely and the features look very encouraging. A quick run down of things discussed in this article and not:
-iFolder integration: Very exciting feature that allows you to keep files, emails, contacts, etc associated with each other and very portable.
– SOAP access: Makes it much easier for any program to connect with groupwise since it uses this standard. I sincerely hope we see integration with Mozilla thunderbird and such, since it shoudl be much easier to implement. (and they can now copy over Evolutions code as much as possible)
– Improved Client: If you’ve used GW this is easily the worst part about it. They haven’t shown much on this but early screenshots showed a multipayne, more functional, client.
– Built in Palm and Pocket PC support.
– Much more functionality accessible through the API’s.
– IM client with muti-protocol support (thanks to GAIM)
