The Good:
I like the idea of having a TV recorder
I like to have my iTunes library playing through my stereo
I like being able to watch other region DVDs through my TV and not just though my mac’s monitor
The Bad:
Software, software, software!
Media Central seems nice, never tried it.
CenterStage is buggy! I would wait a long time before trying it again.
Need some good, stable, all inclusive software!
Remote control is ESSENTIAL – Have you ever hooked up your computer to a TV? Go ahead – try it! You cannot see the font on many things because your TV’s resolution is not even close to your monitor’s! Unless you are projecting onto a screen then the keyboard is useless.
What the article did not mention:
Salling Cliker – Not the best, but it is scriptable, and it can control many things with a standard BT enabled phone or PDA
we can have a linux media center for less
