Theo wrote a letter at large to the open source community urging us to take a stand. In the letter Theo provides information on how to contact Intel and helpful hints on how to explain benefits of open documentation to any vendor.

Theo's mentioned trying to be nice in the past, and it never seemed to work.
Theo has the patience of a small child.
I've tried being nice with Intel and it has worked.

Is it everything we want? No, not by a long shot. Is it better than what we're likely to get as a result of Theo throwing public temper tantrums? Yes, by a long shot.
