Star FreeVMS 0.3.2 Released

OSNews, Generic OSes FreeVMS is an OpenVMS-like operating system; it consists of a POSIX kernel and a DCL command line interpreter. The only architectures currently supported are i386 and x86-64. Version 0.3.2 has just been released and you can grab it from the ftp server. It is probably wise to read the USE file before diving into FreeVMS. News: support for DCL open/read/close, and all open/read/write/close with VMS-style logicals, some I/O counts, DCL show status, and a better-looking show system.

I wonder if it runs in virtual pc or vmware. I've always wanted to tool around in vms and didn't really want to buy an openvms cd.

They offer free VMS shell accounts with full DCL access and mail, etc.
