KDE "Today, KDE has released a series of updates to the Plasma Desktop and Netbook workspaces, the KDE Applications and the KDE Platform. This update is the third in a series of monthly stabilization updates to the 4.5 series. 4.5.3 brings bugfixes and translation updates on top of KDE SC 4.5 series and is a recommended update for everyone running 4.5.2 or earlier versions. As the release only contains bugfixes and translation updates, it will be a safe and pleasant update for everyone. KDE SC 4 is already translated into more than 55 languages, with more to come."

I tired of hearing that Debian is so stable. I think Debian's stability is overrated. Every single distro I tried was stable.

You are lucky, sir ;)

Each time I wanted to try a new release of a desktop distro on my old PC, I first tried it on a separate partition because there was a very high chance that something would break with the update. Generally in the graphics, Wi-Fi, or sound areas, where things are non-standard, and so less tested per chipset.

Sure, once linux runs, it's extremely stable. But putting the CD in the drive and knowing for sure that it will work as long as the hardware works well for someone in the linux world... It's a thing which only a few distros like Debian can provide.
