He has a brief look at: Scheduling and Schedulers, Memory Management and Paging, and File Systems. Max is an Instructor who spends his time teaching Solaris internals, device drivers, and kernel crash dump analysis and debugging.

Does Solaris or FreeBSD have something as recent Linux experimental patches, adaptibe readahead http://lwn.net/Articles/152279/ or patch that prevent huge swap trasher task to stop other from disk i/o ? And I do not understend why XFS and Reiser4, fastest and most cutting edge FS did not noticed in comparison?
