You can argue that "GNOME is the default Desktop environment, not KDE," but it doesn't change the fact that for KDE users, Fedora made KDE4 the *default version* of KDE long before it was ready. There no longer was a KDE3 in the repositories, for KDE users, KDE4 was the default. They had to real choice other than to switch to a different desktop environment, or an entirely different distribution altogether if no alternative environments were good enough.
