Ubuntu, Kubuntu, Xubuntu Mark Shuttleworth: "I simply have zero interest in the crowd who wants to be different. Leet. 'Linux is supposed to be hard so it's exclusive' is just the dumbest thing that a smart person could say." He's right. Lots of interesting insights in this blog post - I may not agree with everything Ubuntu does, but at least it's doing something.

Mark Shuttleworth is simply trying to cover his ass and his bad, harmful decisions with an utter crap like this one, cited here.
He can say whatever he wants about imaginary problems, "leetness" etc, but he won't change the fact, that he poisons GNU/Linux and FLOSS community with the software that has hardcoded options [no options to choose from the commandline], spies on users, uses closed-formats and protocols, like the one used in Ubuntu One to send files and synchro.

Mark, mind your own shit, stop harming community and stop blaming it for your own tyranny, incompetence and lack of understanding of it.
