I'm staggered by the limited and extravagant thinking that seems to characterise the online 'geek' community. Not only are the suggestions just another excuse to indulge an existing habit, they limit the opportunity for someone to develop in more interesting and beneficial ways. There should, at least, be a sizable percentage of small, low-cost, or culturally stimulating suggestions. As it stands, the majority just play up to dumb consumerism.
