So is this version of gcc still the fastest out of all the versions including 4.0?
No, gcc 2.95 is faster, but out of the 3.x/4.x series,
it is the fastest.
I’m already going for gcc 3.4.5 (prerelease)…
just switched back to 3.4.4 and its working great. gcc4 was all sorts of weird – it made FLACs unplayable in any app for no explicable reason, broke random KDE stuff etc.. learned my lesson about gentoo upgrade-itis..will stick with lovely 3.4.4 …
