“Shobana Balakrishnan, a program manager on the Windows Longhorn Server team, takes us through the server roadmap and demonstrates Windows Server 2003 R2. Think you know everything about Windows Server? You might be surprised by the innovations this team has shipped and is planning on shipping in Longhorn Server.”
the code-base has become so convoluted that they cant even update the name properly anymore, they can only patch it
They can only get better.. but to those who have actually worked with this operating system.. its very solid. Fast. Reliable. Modular.

To Shobana Balakrishnan:
One big thing missing though (AFAICT): A list of links to the web sites and blogs owned/authored by the new technologies’ engineers themselves.
Eric Boutilier (http://blogs.sun.com/roller/page/eric_boutilier)
OpenSolaris (http://opensolaris.org)
Check out these blog sites and links:
http://blogs.technet.com/filecab/ -for ITPro
http://blogs.msdn.com/chkdsk/ -for file system/storage app developers…could use some blogs
I must admit I don’t have a personal blog…maybe I should now 🙂
