everytime robertson gives interview, or talks, its always the same crap..
“microsoft should be so scared of us”, “we sell really cheap boxes at walmart”, “we give them nightmares”.
Give me a break. If he spent half as much time on his product as talking smack, he might be right on some of it now. Robertson = Ellison & McNealy’s new good-ole boy club member?
Robertson likes to hear the sound of his own voice. Yes they sell really cheap computers but we have to look at this. Who actually uses Lindows or stays with Lindows. As for Ellison & McNealy, they aint nothing special either, have you seen Suns stock ? Sun is ripe to be bought out and personally I hope Microsoft does it, Im getting sick of all the propaganda. Robertsons days are numbered, we just have to hear him talk just a little while more. BLAH BLAH BLAH. His products suck and I personally think he does too.

I have used/use Lindows and find it a very nice Linux distro. It is very good for starters or switchers.
I personally think Lindows does not suck but is a great alternative for Windows.
It has some good applications and can run apt-get and dpkg.
M.Robertson is at least trying to bring Linux to the masses…i like that.

Mmm..you might lived under a rock but the reality is that
Sun and Oracle are a great team. Oracle databases are used a lot and MS_SQL is not even close. Sun makes great products and i hope the will stick a round for a while.

Its not even a good alternative to Windows, you want a great alternative to Windows try Xandros. What good Applications? It doesnt come with any apps. M. Robertson could give a crap less about bringing Linux to the Masses, All he is doing is starting alot of controversy and crap.

Yes they do make good products but that doesnt mean they are successful. MS_SQL is the #2 man on the pole for most successful databases, tell me, What rock you have been living under? Sun, I do not think will be around for a great deal longer, maybe a couple of more years if they dont get bought out first. I use Sun products and they have a great track record, we have some Sun computers that are 12 -13 yrs old and they still run strong.

Actually I do hope Microsoft does buy them out. Microsoft is a great company and they make good products, If they do happen to pick up a UNIX company and start distributing their own brand I think their position in the market will be even stronger, and that will also give them incentive to port their apps to UNIX and LINUX, Which will only be the greatest thing to happen to Linux. Microsoft doesnt necessarily have to go the GPL route.
Xandros is vey nice i agree but if you like Xandros you must try Shaolin Linux..its even better.

Windows comes with Notepad, Paint, CD Burning utilities, Windows Media Player, Windows Movie Maker, a WebBrowser and a variety of system tools it has its own games as well.

Actually I like MS-SQL, it is a great product I dont need to delve into a command line environment to set it up and its idiot proof, I cant tell you how many times I have had to come in and set up an oracle box or a PostgreSQL box because some Dilbert screwed everything up. I have been using the PR of Windows Server 2003 and I must say that if the final release is 1% better than the PR, Windows Server 2003 will be well worth whatever MS charges for it and it will be unbeatable. I might even suggest my company migrate over to Windows Server 2003. Couple that with VPC, so I can still run my UNIX based Operating Systems and you have the perfect package.

I wish I was with Britney Spears, heck you’d be jealous. As for why MS should make Applications for Linux, It wont be long before MS has too. If Linux gains as much marketshare as predicted.
