Too bad. 2004-09-19 11:29 pm I wonder if Apple is going to stick with Xfree or go with X11.org 2004-09-19 11:40 pm I wonder if Apple is going to stick with Xfree or go with X11.org Although I’m guessing that they will eventually sync up with X.org, it doesn’t strike me as something that would matter much either way, as the X11 port was done mostly to more easilly allow porting of X11 application to Mac OS X, and as the X protocol and libraries are the same regardless of conformant implementation… Not to mention the fact that Mac OS X already supports most if not all of the shiny new features that are coming to X.org, and it’d make little sense to scrap all of that work in favor of something new and untested, that would also require partial rewrites of quite a few Apple, and third party applications. 2004-09-20 1:09 am Note to trolls: Darwin is related to Apple and Mac OS X! <duck> 2004-09-20 3:38 pm Flaming the Machead quickly before someone beats me to it!
