JDS 3 is now part of the latest version of Solaris 10 Express, build 70 includes the merged 64bit version for AMD64/EMT64, it isn’t available to the public, however, are the end of November, IIRC, they’ve got a Solaris Express build with it; once fully tested, they’re going to make Solaris 10 gold edition available.
Remember, 15 Novemeber is the launch date *NOT* the shipment date.

SUN is a big company, they should have a fast and reliable network to spread this live cd. It’s a shame that a billion dollar company doesn’t provide at least one fast server …
Sorry to clarify: Will there be a free amd64 build of solaris?
Like the SPARC version of Solaris, it will be bundled with the x86 version, the installer will, if you have a 64bit CPU installed, the option between either a 64bit or 32bit environment.
have anyone esle tried this live cd? I got it downloaded, tried it, and now my hard drives are screwed, I am running Windows XP, and I had to reset the BIOS because it wasn’t even seeing the drives and now, it’s saying files are currupted. Worst Live CD I tried… Never experienced this before.
I’ve had one of these since january.. they gave em out at linux.conf.au
Then you had JDS1. Now they have JDS2 and I believe JDS3 for Solaris.
