Linux "If you consider NetApplications' data set, then Linux owns only about 1 percent of the desktop OS market and Windows has almost 92 percent. But if you consider all computing platforms, including mobile, than Windows has only 20 percent and Linux has 42 percent - and that would be in the form of Google's Android alone." No more or less legitimate than claiming Windows owns 92% of the market. It's all a matter of perspective.

"Please note that this article is a parody of what some Windows users write about Linux. The events described here have not actually taken place. However, the article is based on author's experiences with the Windows 7 operating system"

I'm not sure this evidence is water proof if submerged in a small barrel.

Oh ye of little imagination ... no-one sane and using Linux would actually consider installing Windows for real ... ugh!! It would be like going back to the dim dark ages, after first shooting yourself in the foot.

The truth, even when presented to you as a parody, hurts a little, doesn't it though?

It doesn't hurt, I'm not a Windows user, I'm an OS X using Linux system administrator. The feeling is more embarrassment, because people who read this might believe I also have this opinion or clumsiness.

It's also embarrassing that you present a badly written parody as "evidence" to portrait the entire state of the Windows operating system. The Dutch translation is ever worse as it contains a lot of bad grammar and spelling mistakes. I guess you don't understand Dutch, so you'll have to trust me on this.

You claim minor Windows updates cause more problems than the heaviest Linux updates. I'm sure if you try you can find articles or forum posts about people running in to problems from a minor update, but you didn't. You posted a piece of fiction in which a Linux user, who tend to picture themselves as smart people, acts dumber than the below average Windows user.

For some unknown reason Linux users find all kinds of flaws with Windows that has Windows users think, "What are you on about?".

When you hold up an obvious parody as evidence for you self congratulatory dick waving, I'm sorry, your actual credibility diminishes to about zero in most people's eyes.
