Been trying to get NetBSD/amd64 going but it seems that X support is lacking. The big problem though is that with gcc-3.3.2 being the only workable compiler, a great many open source apps are unavailable. Latest versions of gcc are badly broken and dog slow. I’ll give Mandrake another try. It was the default desktop at argonne labs a few years ago. Seemed a pretty good desktop then. 2003-11-08 8:08 pm Anonymous 9.2 is still unfinished. Many bugs. So pity, Mandrake was a good distro . Fedora is my choice now.
