ADO.NET 2.0 includes a new base-class provider model, features for all providers, and changes to System.Data.SqlClient. Get an overview of these new features, examples of their use, and a chart of which features are provider-neutral and SqlClient-specific. Elsewhere, get an overview of the new services, controls, and features in ASP.NET 2.0.
I have been looking for articles on ADO.net 2.0. This one’s a good read. Anybody knows what’s in store for the Compact Framework in 2.0?

I think it’s nice the way Microsoft is actually hearing to the developers and introducing new features to the .Net platform, instead of treating it like an “ivory tower”.
The productivity gains I got with ASP.Net were huge, compared to the stuff I used to do on ASP+COM, Cold Fusion and PHP, and with version 2.0 it seems to have even more gains to come. And the fact that someday I’ll be able to have the same stuff on Linux, through Mono, is a great perspective for the future.
I’m not a MS-fanboy (my home computer is MS-free) but gotta say that .Net is coming along really well.
