He’s talking about Nautilus 2.8 and 2.10. I thought after 2.8 would come 3.0. Oh well 😉
It is good and common practice to change the major revision number (eg from 2.x to 3.0) only when the changes break compatibility with the past. So there is nothing strange in versions with numbering like 2.10… after all the linux kernel has had versions like 2.3.100 or something…
