Q&A with Amiga CTO – Session 15
Fleecy Moss has answered 10 new Amiga community questions addressing various topics at the AmigaWorld.net portal. Amiga Inc also opened a new community exchange homepage. Here people can contribute various software and art of which some will be selected by the community to be included on the AmigaOS4 CD.
AmigaOS 4.0 to Support Twenty Languages
AmigaWorld.net's 14th Q&A Session with Fleecy Moss has been posted. In response to one of the ten asked questions Amiga's CTO specified twenty languages which will be supported by AmigaOS4. In addition the Russian localisation is still uncertain, but will likely be ready in time for release as well.
Amiga Inc: A Short Story on the V50 DOS Library
A small article written by Colin. J. Wenzel was published from Amiga's 'Club Amiga Monthly' online magazine regarding the new AmigaDOS library and its originally unintended TRIPOS roots. Last weekend new AmigaOS4 screenshots were published and the first report and photos of last weekend's Swedish AmigaOS4 event are available. Next weekend OS4 events are planned for Italy and France.
ATI Announces Excellent Results for 3rd Quarter
X-bit labs published a story regarding ATI being profitable and managing to raise its gross-margins and revenues substantially. The Radeon 9600 sold so well that the company can't even fulfil the demand.
Report of the Swiss ‘AmigaOS4 on Tour’ Presentation in Basel
For the 21st of June, there was an 'AmigaOS4 on Tour' event planned for Basel. I travelled from Holland to Switzerland to write an extensive report for AmigaWorld.net regarding this event.
Interview with Matthew Kille – AmigaOS 4.0 GUI Designer
AmigaWorld.net has interviewed Matthew Kille, the founder of the software company Zeoneo who is also the designer of the default AmigaOS4 graphical user-interface. His company developes both for AmigaOS4 and the Amiga Digital Environment. Please note however that the currently presented AmigaOS4 GUI at various 'OS4 on Tour' events is not yet finalised. This includes a couple of the common UI components and the main overall color scheme.

AmigaWorld.net has posted 5 new official AmigaOS4 screenshots. The latest shots show several appearance differences regarding the GUI. Saturday there's an AmigaOS4 on Tour event planned to be held in Augsburg, Germany.
New AmigaOS4 Screenshots Revealed
AmigaWorld.net has posted 4 new official AmigaOS4 screenshots. The latest screenshots were taken on an A4000 with PPC upgrade, running ExecSG and showing much of the default intuition look and Font Anti-Aliasing as is being demonstrated at AmigaOS4 on Tour events held across Europe. Larger scale versions of these screenshots should soon become available at the official AmigaOS website. Update: Higher quality images have been uploaded! (1024x768 in PNG format)
Amiga File System: Past, Present and Future
Amiga has released an extensive CAM article regarding the history of the Amiga file system. The article is written by Olaf Barthel, a leading figure within the AmigaOS4 development team. Upcoming Saturday the 'AmigaOS4 on Tour' events will start in Europe, but the highlight Amiga event this summmer is planned for 26th and 27th of July at the AmiWest show in California.
Interview with AmiStart author Darius Brewka
AmigaWorld interviewed Darius Brewka, the author of a StartMenu utility named AmiStart for classic AmigaOS. A screenshot shows that this is one of the better looking application launchers available for the classic OS, features include background-patterns, transparency and antialiased TrueType fonts support. Also Pixload4, a docking utility for classic AmigaOS and MorphOS has been released.

Lots of Interest Reported for New Amiga Solutions in Italy & Germany
Quantum Leap has written a small report regarding VirtualWorks and Soft3's presence at the Italian Webb.it show. The report includes some pictures of the AmigaOne and AmigaOS4 modules running with classic hardware. A lot of Amiga interest in Italy is being reported and PPCNUX.de recently reported that the AmigaOne is selling very well in Germany. And this week’s Q&A session with Amiga’s CTO covers various topics at the AmigaWorld community portal.
Fleecy Clears Up Amiga OS4 Ownership Rumours
Within last week's Q&A session Amiga's CTO already cleared up the strategic reasoning behind transferring the AmigaOS4 ownership to Hyperion. Within this week's Q&A Fleecy clear's up some more misconceptions regarding Amiga's influence on the AmigaOS4 development. Other questions relate to the AmigaDE, future hardware and software development for AmigaOS4.
