I am eager to see what it gives in terms of fixes and what the speed up is like.
No problems applying the patch, no noticable difference in performance or the way applications be have. BTW this is not the 10.3.4 update, mentioned on SpyMac/Thinksecret, just a patch to 10.3.3.
This update seemed to fix the printer issue that I was having with my Epson CX5400, although it doesn’t appear to been for such 😡 Oh well it works, I’m happy.
Now my ibook’s audio is maxed out every time I restart, everything else seems fine.
I would not notice because I always max mine volume out 🙂
what problem is that? I have that same model and no problems here.
speaking as an OS X user, I care.
you think I want buffer overflow attacks to be able to be perpetrated on my system? remote root exploits?(not that there are any)
security is a lot more than virus protection. a vulnerability on OS X is just as bad as one on windows, and if I had something some one wanted on my Box, you can bet that some one would try to get in.

There is a remote root exploit in AFS (not turned on by default, but it’s running if you turn on “Personal File Sharing”):

Yes i know its not the topic, sorry.
Since I installed that update, I have iTunes crashing anytime I double click in it, or when I change station, or when I try to listen to certain stations. It has just crashed about 10 times in the last 5 mn!
remove your haxies.
itunes runs fine for me
Thanks. Just disabling and re-enabling them and everything works. That’s curious.
