Leading Linux seller Red Hat has recently launched the second version of its enterprise operating system (OS) which touts improved performance, scalability and compatibility with a much wider range of hardware platforms. Coupled with plans to expand its Asian footprint, the firm is hoping to mount an ambitious challenge on the dominant Unix platform and ultimately send the incumbent server OS to its grave.
