Due to criticism regarding Crisot's first video, the beta-tester created a new video (24.7 MB file) to demonstrate the speed of OS4 running with a native version of P96 combined with an accelerated Voodoo 3 driver. This version shows almost no flickering and also shows Quake launching and running. Like with the previous video this is not an official OS4 demonstration.

A video (20MB, DivX) made by an OS4 betatester, demonstrating the native graphics drivers has been made available. This is not an official OS4 demonstration, just one users machine. The picture quality is low, but it gives an idea of the current graphics speed.

The Pegasos user group had a look at the developer pre-release version of AmigaOS4.

Core AmigaOS 4.0 developer Hans-Jörg Frieden has written a status report with regard to the current state of AmigaOS. Various advances have been made since the Developer Pre-release version of AOS4 was completed. Meanwhile AmigaWorld.net has launched a new File Depot portal dedicated to providing and hosting Amiga OS4 files and related resources.

Marcus Neervoort has made a MPEG video (136 MB) of last Saturday's Amiga OS4 event which includes demonstrations of Hollywood, Audio Evolution, Mame and Arteffect 4.0 Alpha on Amiga OS4. eCommerceLogic is working on a new programming language for Amiga that resembles Java and C#.

Hyperion Entertainment and the Amiga OS 4.0 development team announced that after nearly 30 months of painstaking development the Amiga OS 4.0 Developer Pre-release has gone gold and will be sent to the duplication plant on Monday, April 19, 2004.

The HTML procedure that will be included on the Amiga OS4 developer pre-release CD for the AmigaOne has been given to Amigaworld.net. The procedure is simple to follow and will walk users of all experience levels through the painless task of installing the developer pre-release on to an AmigaOne. Elsewhere Amiga Forever 6.0 is now available.

Ann.lu reports that Amiga Forever 6.0 will premiere at AmiGBG in Gothenburg on April 3rd, 2004. This new version is the result of more than two years of work and constitutes its most significant update.

Amiga, Inc. announced today that it has sold the Amiga Operating System to KMOS, Inc, allowing Amiga, Inc to focus on the growing mobile market. On April 23, 2003 Amiga entered into an Agreement with Itec LLC, later acquired by KMOS, Inc. for the transfer and sale of all of Amiga's right, title, source code, and all versions, from the "Classic Amiga Operating System" through AmigaOS 4.0 and all subsequent versions to KMOS, Inc. The PR gives no explanation about the exact future of Amiga OS 4.
