I can understand why a clueless person would like browser only computer, but why would anyone capable of installing Crome-OS want to do that? It runs only Crome browser and you can get that to run on most main-stream operating system.

Installing Crome-OS is like a surgeon amputating his own hands just for fun.

Thanks for the info. Based on the other comments I don't think I'll be trying this soon. But its good to know it can be done without buying a Chromebook.
