After reading at least 4 negative paragraphs of how hard it is to find and how difficult it is to install, and how you have to know C to compile it <gasp>, I find I just don't care that much anymore.

I can understand why a clueless person would like browser only computer, but why would anyone capable of installing Crome-OS want to do that? It runs only Crome browser and you can get that to run on most main-stream operating system.
Installing Crome-OS is like a surgeon amputating his own hands just for fun.
Thanks for the info. Based on the other comments I don't think I'll be trying this soon. But its good to know it can be done without buying a Chromebook.
