Thank you for the link, interesting reading.
But please let it be that we can set the menu transparency too, not just the _menubar_ transparency. Leopard is a nice step forward in most ways, but what's with all the misplaced transparency in a lot of places?
Transparent menus are not only less clear and more ugly, they are a great way to show off your Mac Book (Pro)'s less-than-16 million color dithered screen to all your friends.
ZFS will be available at some point in time, but we're still waiting for Quartz 2 Extreme, etc. to be fixed and become a user default.
Apple are slowly fixing some rather major issues now. I'd love for the firewall to work 100 % correctly.
Still, we can see where their support goes, as a Blizzard game was getting attention once again through bug fixes in graphics drivers.
Regarding Quartz Extreme 2D, did you read the 10.5 release notes (why do people make stupid posts and never do their homework). It is a per-application function that needs to be enabled explicitly by the software writer as there are some performance penalties in some scenarios.
Regarding ZFS; right now write functionality (and other features) is still in beta, I doubt they would add boot capabilities to a later 10.5 retail refresh, so I'd say its a wait till 10.6.
