Features, Office When I was first asked to review this book, I was somewhat taken aback by the title. I wondered if it could be construed as blasphemous. The dictionary came to my rescue with this definition: damn, adj., beyond doubt or question.

You have to get that along with this one--> Windows Server 2003 (Inside Out) by William Stanek. PERIOD!

Proof: Just read both and you'll know.

Shameful
by doggedblues on Mon 26th Jul 2004 09:52 UTC

Is this supposed to be a book review or an advertisement for the book?

Where is the analysis? Where is the commentary on each of the chapters and how those chapters are structured?

What a DAMN disgrace!

There is a television show called "The Best Damn Sports Show Period" on FoxSportsNet. There are other channels than TechTV, yo. :-)

I would say I agree with this one.
This book covers literally everything you need to know about Windows Server 2003 in just one book.
Highly recommended.

I covered two of the topics that I found of particular interest, tried to keep my review short enough to keep the public interest and discussed that most relevant of topics - security, which is covered throughout the book's 27 chapters. I purposefully chose not to write a book on the book. Thanks for the feedback though, I'll keep it in mind for the next one.

Was Tom Arnold involved in the creation of the book?

Blasphemy? Are you serious? You must have led a very sheltered life.

Sorry if I was a little hard on you. I hadn't had much sleep when I wrote my comments. I do think that the review could have been a bit more extensive and analytical.

No problem, good criticism is rare. I'll flesh out the next one a bit. I'm still tweaking the format of these reviews.

blasphemy is defined: the act of claiming the attributes of deity, the logic then goes that only deity can damn, as in condemn to hell, anything... therefore it could be considered a blasphemous statement were it not for the alternate definition... As for your question, "Are you serious?", it's semantic, you decide for yourself how important the words are.
